During the unprecedented lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic, CCC came forward to help the people in need in every way possible. The council provided dry ration to the underprivileged families, which included adequate amounts of daily use ingredients. We also provided ration to the Gurudwaras that were already serving Langar to the needy. Moreover, we donated 500 masks, 200 PPE kits, sanitiser packs and spray pumps to the Civil Hospitals in Jalandhar, Phagwara, Kapurthala, and ESI hospital, Phagwara. We also donated masks and PPE kits to other nursing colleges and also to the police officials on duty. Other than this, CCC helped provide transportation services to 30 people that were stranded duee to Covid-19 at Golden Temple, amritsar and helped them get back to Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

CCC has run several different cleanliness campaigns towards the cause of a clean and green smart city in Jalandhar. Firstly, from the 31st of May, 2019 over the course of 3 weeks. Wherein we managed to clean and repair the sideroads from BMC to Namdev chownk, Milkbar chowk to Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, and the nature care society in Model town, Jalandhar. Secondly, we ran another cleanliness campaign alongside the municipal corporation Jalandhar with all our youth volunteers. Wherein we cleaned up various crowded locations all around Jalandhar including MP and MLA residential areas.

CCC has always been a firm supporter of a greener environment. Therefore, we have been planting an average of 200 trees every year since 1998. We have also installed tree-guards for the further protection and successful growth of the planted trees. We have led tree plantation campaigns in Jalandhar city, Jalandhar Cantt. and Phagwara. Moreover, we also openly distribute saplings to anyone who desires to plant trees.

As CCC believes in the betterment of all three aspects of mother nature. We have led anti-pollution campaigns time and again. Specially during the festival season- where we encourage the youth to “say no to crackers” and respect mother nature. We have led one week long campaigns during diwali season. We usually end the campaign with a signature campaign, wherein people pledge to not use firecrackers and keep the air clean and pollution free.
